LAUNCHING YouTube's MUSIC SERVICES

Launching YouTube's new suite of music services was an interesting ride where I genuinely understand how the iterative process truly meant for a company like google. It wasn't the easiest process, but it was a necessary one.

First, we launch Music Key Beta, youtube's first version of the music service app. For the launch, we created a visual timeline that celebrates the evolution of music through fans, musicians, and how the platform has shaped the music culture of today.

Second, we launch YouTube for Artists, a new site designed to give musicians the tools, data, and knowledge needed to harness the power of YouTube. We created a series of short-form video content to highlight artists that use the platform to propel their careers.

Third, after the BETA, we launch the official YouTube Music app designed for users to explore the most extensive music library in the world seamlessly. Every song, album, artist, or genre you choose to begin a customized and non-stop visual journey. We created a piece of content based on that user experience, and that video generated 4+ million views on the first day.
